My love of baseball in all its forms: the Phillies, fantasy baseball, the hot stove, the playoffs, the roar of the crowd, the trade rumors, the free agents, and of course... the peanuts.

As if I needed more false hope...
From Ken Rosenthal of the Sporting News...
"What would A's general manager Billy Beane be worth as a free agent? The answer might come if Lewis Wolff purchases the club. Beane, signed through 2008, can opt out of his contract if the team changes owners. Wolff almost certainly would want Beane to stay, but the Nationals could pursue Beane once their new owner is in place. Two highly regarded former general managers, Pat Gillick and Gerry Hunsicker, also are available. The Phillies' Ed Wade could be the next G.M. in trouble."

I agree with Ken Rosenthal: Ed Wade is dangling by a thread right now. This is a man who inspires no one. This guy could seriously screw up a cup of coffee. He considers Jon Leiber a #1 starter. Ed do me a favor and "Wake the Fuck up"!!! Leiber is at best a mediocre 3rd starter for some really bad teams like Milwaukee & Kansas City. Ed is completely clueless and doesn't have an inkling of what is going on. How did this little weasel get to become Phillies GM anyway? He has no redeeming qualities and is a bombastic simpleton. This guy has to go! A chimp with a pencil in his mouth could run the Phillies organization better than Ed has over the past 8 years. Time for change. And speaking of change, Ed go and get yourself a better toupee than that awful one that you are wearing. Damn thing looks like a bird's nest.
